The Coastal
path is 186 miles (299kms) of spectacular coastal scenery. The path
stretches from Amroth in the south to Poppit Sands in the north
of the county. There are also many pretty paths and bridleways inland
of the coast. Walks from our door include The Millpond Walk, Lamphey
Bishops Palace and Freshwater East. Alternatively you can jump onto
the Coastal Cruiser and get off at one of its many stops along the
beautiful coastline and walk to be met later in the day at one of
the other stops - Freshwater West, Stackpole Quay, Broadhaven South
or Angle.
For cyclists, High Noon is situated on the Celtic Trail, also known
as Sustrans Route 4. The route opened in summer 2000 and travels
through 220 miles of the most beautiful and diverse scenery in Wales.
There are also a number of other cycle routes close by. There is
also rock climbing, coasteering and surfing at the nearby beaches
of Freshwater West, Freshwater East and Manobier.
Surfing lessons
and coasteering can be booked through www.outerreefsurfschool.com.
You could also try your hand at sailing on the peaceful upper reaches
of the Cleddau Estuary. Lessons can be booked at www.pembrokeshire-watersports.co.uk.
There is also good snorkling and rock-pooling in the clean clear
coastal waters. And of course there are numerous golf courses in
the area for the golf enthusiast. These activities will give you
the opportunity to see the amazing flora and fauna and birdlife
of Pembrokeshire.
